This kit is based on the MARCH assessment used by the military for combat/traumatic injury and the WFR which deals with injury in backcountry settings; both perspectives address emergency medicine in resource limited environments. The tools within the kit do require some training but for the most part this can be done with videos online and a small amount of hands on practice. Glen Maxson teaches a short course during turkey boogie that is very aligned with this med kit.
