FLY Showing
Join us at Climb Moab Gym for a local showing of National Geographic's FLY film.
In the heart-stopping documentary FLY, from National Geographic Documentary Films, directors Shaul Schwarz and Christina Clusiau (“Shaun White: The Last Run,” “Immigration Nation,” the Emmy® Award-winning “Trophy”) immerse viewers in the exhilarating yet perilous world of BASE jumping. At the heart of the film are three couples: Moab’s own Jimmy and Marta, pioneering figures affectionately known as the “Mom and Pop” of BASE jumping; the fearless wingsuit pilot Scotty and his newfound love, Julia; and the resilient duo Amber and Espen, whose bond is tested by triumph and tragedy. Through breathtaking aerial footage, vérité scenes and intimate interviews, the film explores the complex balance between passion and sacrifice. A poignant love story that celebrates the spirit of those who dare to defy gravity, capturing the essence of what it truly means to live on the edge.
Entry limited to 50 moviegoers.
Reserve your spot here!
Arrive up to two hours before showing to climb for a discounted $10 day pass.

Reel Rock 18
Benefit Fundraiser for Grand Area Mentoring in partnership with Climb Moab.
Turkey Boogie Fundraiser 2
For the 11th consecutive year BASE jumpers are organizing events to raise money for Grand County Search and Rescue and the city of Moab. The search and rescue team plays an enormous role in supporting all outdoor enthusiasts that frequent this area. This Thanksgiving let's make sure that "SAR," BLM, and the city of Moab we appreciate their support and offer it in return.
Previously every penny raised was given to Grand County Search and Rescue. At the request of Search and Rescue we are, "spreading the money a bit further around the community." We have donated tens of thousands of dollars to BLM, SAR, NPS, non-profits, children in need, and community members that have suffered awful circumstances. Moab has been amazing to BASE, it is up to us to return that favor.
In the past 11 years, we have raised almost $200,000. The money raised is made possible by nearly every BASE manufacturer, community sponsors, volunteers, and the support of the BASE community.
How do we raise money?
*The majority of the money raised has come from selling raffle tickets. We will be holding a raffle the night before Thanksgiving, Wednesday, November 23th. Raffle tickets are $10. Prizes have included brand new wingsuits and containers, many massive discounts on containers, canopies, and wingsuits. Free body armor, pilot chutes, cameras, helmets, clothing, tracksuits, and so much more. The prizes have been pretty outrageous the past few years and that is largely because just about every BASE manufacturer has been incredibly generous. The success of this event is almost entirely because of their support.
*Apparel Sales- Shirts and hoodies of the event are sold in our store.
Earth day // BASE Edition
Earth, Moab, and BASE jumping. We are pretty fond of each of these things. So instead of focusing on just one of them, let's enjoy and take care of each of these things.
This event will focus on more than just the jumping. We will train rope skills, organize a community cleanup, communicating with jumpers, and work together to help preserve BASE in Moab.
Saturday April 22, 2023:
-We are going to clean up some high traffic BASE jump locations
-We will offer a rope skills clinic
Sunday April 23, 2023:
-Need a rope? Need a pilot chute? We will have some goods to give away.
-It's Earth Day. It seems appropriate to spend the day jumping the local E's. Lets learn, get to know each other, and get sendy.
Come be a positive part of the community! If you have a topic to address or want to contribute, please contact us. This event is about the entire community.
Thanks for being a part of Moab Earth Days, BASE edition.
